The largest association of California police officers condemned a desperate campaign ad by politician Kevin Kiley today, and re-affirmed their endorsement of combat flight surgeon and doctor Kermit Jones who is running against Kiley in California’s new 3rd Congressional District.
Kiley, who has never worn a uniform, has grown increasingly desperate in his attacks on Dr. Kermit. In his new campaign ad, Kiley suggests Dr. Kermit, who served two combat deployments in Iraq wants to “defund the police.”
The only problem, Dr. Kermit is endorsed by the largest Police Officers Association in California as he is the only candidate with a credible record on public safety.

Brian Marvel, the President of the Peace Officers Research Association of California, released the following statement:
"As the largest statewide public safety organization in the United States, representing over 75,000 members, PORAC reaffirms our strong support for Dr. Kermit Jones. "
He went on to say:
“We trust he [Dr. Kermit Jones] would never be a vote to defund the police or peace officers on the frontlines of keeping our communities safe.”
